This in-depth, hands-on, five-day workshop will explore the most recent research in cultural competency, negotiation and conflict resolution through brain science: a three-stage roadmap for success in the V.U.C.A. environment of volatility. uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity. By the end of our journey together, you will have the insights and tools you new need to negotiate in various scenarios, honed your conflict-resolution skills, and explored the latest brain science insights to lead, live and work better,— all while having made new friends, and forged new professional relationships in the spectacular Provencal setting of IgD’s Center for Neuroleadership & Diversity.

Day One:
Discover the latest cultural and science-based techniques for resolving conflict in a volatile new world order: We will focus on both the intercultural and neuroanthropological forces in the negotiation process, and introduce the latest insights and conflict resolution tools for you to start using now. Dean will spotlight specific cultures of interest and best techniques in your cultures of interest, and share his much sought after perspectives. Cynthia will introduce the brain+body+culture perspective.
Day Two:
Master the latest Strategies for Global Conflict-Resolution: Conflict-resolution and negotiation theory have also been impacted by the development of complex global forces. In today's workshop, Dean will define where negotiation and leadership theory is today, with the brain in mind, and we practice the latest "best practices” and models for conflict-resolution success in today's complex and ambiguous global world.
Day Three
Understand and Apply the Most Current Neuroscience and Deep Brain Research: Learn the neuroscience of emotions and how to control them in yourself and others and how to negotiate from your higher brain, avoid the famous amygdala highjack and other tactics that get in the way. Learn how to use the Polyvagal Theory of emotional control, the S.C.A.R.F model of neuroleadership, and the latest brain based techniques for your toolkit.
Day Four
We put it all together: Practicing Culture, Conflict-resolution and Brain Science Behaviors that Work for the 21st Century: This day will be your chance to shine, and apply all our previous three days of learning to solve the real-life global challenges that you face in your work. You will learn how the best negotiators apply neuroscience to the most difficult conflicts, and get results!
Day Five:
Optional. Guided Coaching Practicum in an award winning ancient vineyard, with wine tasting, or an insider's view of our famed flower sites, and dinner on one of our Mediterranean beaches while you role play what you have learned as coaches.
You'll leave us with elevated, immediately implementable skills, and the opportunity to have refined and practiced what is most important for you and your intercultural work as you become a neuroleader in a global world.
